SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre – Balby Central

30.4.2018 – A great first SSE Wildcats football session!

20 girls attended our first ever SSE Wildcats Football session and what a great session it was! The girls were split into two older and younger groups, both enjoying fun and active sessions! Our current coaches are:

Chloe and Grace, well qualified coaches from Doncaster Rovers who are leading the younger girls, focussing on fun and basic football skills.

Nathan Teale from Hyde Park Knights FC, who is helping us set up a strong U11 girls team.

thre are still spaces to sign up your child if they would like to come and take part in the fun! See Mr Wilson or the office staff for a letter and pay on Parent Pay. Don’t let the girls miss out on this great opportunity!

Here’s some snapshots from the fist session!

What is SSE Wildcats?

The aim is simple; Have fun, make friends, play football!

An SSE Wildcats Centre is an opportunity for girls aged 5 – 11 to have fun, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions and lay the foundations for a lifelong love of sport. The sessions are delivered on a weekly basis, either afterschool or at weekends.

By working in partnership with the County FA, qualified coaches deliver sessions locally to provide girls the opportunity to experience football for the first time in a fun & safe Environment.

You will find SSE Wildcats Centres all across England, they are helping us achieve the goal of doubling women and girls football participation by 2020.

When and who is it for?

Our sessions will be open to girls aged 5-11 who would like to give football a go, no matter how much experience they have had of the game. The girls must be aged 5-11 on the first day (25th April) of the course.
